Went to Port A Friday Morning following the cold front from Fort Worth. Started in the Surf (marker 25). Had no luck at all except for hard heads. Using Cut Pony Mullet. Fished the rest of the weekend (Night and Day)off pier in Ship Channel close to South Jetty. Still no luck at all again except for Hard Heads, Lady Fish, and Dog fish. A few Smacks were caught at night.Must have been the front turning them off. Seen one floating Bull Red probably 45 in. Maybe going to try a guide next time.

I was there this past weekend 10/4/14 &10/5/14. I have the same kind of report. I didn't see any bullreds, slot reds, trout, drum, or flounders being caught. I saw a lot of people fishing. I did see 1 big gafftop catfish being caught.

We fished the park near the ferry. We fished at the start of the south port a jetties. We also drove to the Packery channel jetties and fished late Saturday.

I hooked up with something; then it came off my hook. It felt like a sting ray. It bent my rod pretty good and got me excited for a minute.

The locals I spoke with said a couple more weeks the Bulls oughta begin moving? I hope so. I'll be back in a couple weeks.

Shut up and fish!

I'm new to the forum and I can't figure out how to post a "for sale". I have a Garmin 546s that I just took off my boat and i'd like to post it on the forum. please advise.
