Any recommendations? I want to take my kid to fish somewhere that is full of perch/bluegill. Pref ND but willing to drive anywhere in DFW.
My kid loves to fish but would like to take her somewhere she can have non-stop action. =)
Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to find a park that has a community lake or pond. I would use Google to help in the search. Use a small spinning reel rig with six pound test line, size 6 or 8 hooks, size five shot, and a float. Oh yea a box of night crawlers. Ponds or community lakes are usually loaded with Bluegill. Good luck. Hope you find and catch a bunch. Let us know how you do. Side Note: Several Anglers who live in the Dallas area post here often and hopefully some of em will reply with direct information.

Twin Lakes park in Richardson off of Coit/Campbell has very good bluegill action. Last time I was targeting bluegill, I caught 45 in less than 2 hours. For bait, I cut hot dogs into VERY LITTLE cubes. This is both cheap and effective (a pack of hot dogs cost 88 cents at Wal-Mart).
If you're up for it, make a rod out of a tree branch. Have your kid stand on one of the ledges and just lower the bait into the water....the action will be UNBELIEVABLE! She will be able to feel every tiny nibble and it will be much easier to set the hook this way
