Just thought i would throw out a report on Ray Roberts today, fishing West side of lake, primarily in coves and brush piles south of 3002... Got on lake around 9am, fished till about noon... Tried trees in 10 ft of water, and up to about 23 ft of water, in coves, no good solid bites, just pecks here and there.. We probably landed around 4-5 crappie today, only one keeper out of those... Brushpiles produced mainly small bass in 20-25ft of water, no big bites on crappie out there, again, just fish fooling around with the bait, small crappie pecks, not the feel of perch, i know what those feel like... So my experience is we ran across some fish, but not really aggressive... Wind may have been a factor as well. I always look at reports on here, and even though mine is not great, thought i would contribute.
Forgot to mention, we used minnows exclusively today... Didn't get around to trying jigs, maybe should have.
Lake looks the lowest I've seen it, on the West side... Watch out for the sandbars, dangerous stuff out there an very shallow spots if you know where i'm talking about.... Actually, they used to be sandbars, now they look like brush country... haha... amazing how the lake changes over time.

Thanks for the report you saved me a trip out there.

Thanks. I discovered the sand bars your talking about on Friday. I'm new to Ray Bob and was just cruising back to the marina from north of 3002 not really paying attention (trying to learn to read my graph) and looked up just in time to see dry land. Not what I was expecting.

We managed to only get 24 out of the trees on east side and 37 two weeks ago on jigs and minnows.
