Thanks "Gitter" and "fishing den" for the replies. Yes you are right "Gitter" on the colder weather getting em active.  The problem is the seven day forecast has temperatures in the Mid 90's.  Oh yea. I forgot to mention. We need RAIN!

Fished the river part of Canyon Lake last Sunday and caught a lot of small crappie, over half of the fish were not keepers. Ended the day with 37 keepers mostly 10.25 to 10.75" with several around 12". Fish were in good shape just short. Much of the timber did not hold fish but those that did you could catch at least 6 fish with several spots producing 10 to 15 fish. This was my second time to fish Canyon Lake and I am looking forward to the Spring when the fish should be larger. Fished with a 1/16 oz white jig with reflective material.

Had a great winter last year on Canyon. Looking forward on hitting it again later this fall and winter! Got a feeling the Guadalupe and Canyon Lake are going to be good!  Side Note: Thanks for the Canyon Lake report!
