One of my pet peeves is a grumpy and whiney fishing partner.

You know the type, always wanting to move and fish somewhere else...

Won't settle down and fish where you're at...

Pacing around the boat...

Complaining about having to get up so early on a Saturday morning...

Not happy with the drink selection...

Standing on your fly line...

Sitting on your fly line...

Standing on your foot...

Standing between your legs while you're casting...

And, then who gets in the picture like they caught the fish????

He's usually good in the boat, but today we called it an early day. By the way, that's a 19.5 in fish, but it sure was skinny.

It was a great day to be on the lake. I saw three other fly fishers this morning. That's 3 more than I usually see. laugh

A couple from folks from the DFF'ers were back this week and someone on the bank looked a lot like Moonriver.

It was good day, even it was short. roflmao

Yeah, but who loves you, Baby? grin
She just wanted to make sure the fish weren't getting ALL the attention.

That's so funny. Very good reading.

4 of my friends went fishing yesterday, not me. I went this morning, caught lots stripers, but not with fly gears. I was testing my new lure.

Good looking dog. They do help break the serious fishing concentration that we all get. Just gotta laugh, take a break, enjoy your surroundings and then get back at them fish.

I was out of town over the weekend, but when I called my wife, she said my golden retriever pup, Winston, wanted me to tie him some flies. I asked how she knew that. She said she was sitting in the family room watching TV and he came in carrying one of my fly fishing hats, which she took so it would not get chewed and swallowed. Next, he brought in an empty fly box. At that point, she knew the door to my Tying Room must have been open and closed it before anything else was retrieved.

Mick, it sounds like somebody missed you. And it sounds like it was a good thing that he missed the box containing the necks and saddles. laugh
