i have been trying both and have noticed that when i chum with soured milo, i catch more dinks. when i use a gallon of cubes, i catch very few small ones. anyone else have that experience. i am thinking of sticking with cubes as long as they work.

I have done very well with both along with sour wheat. I just prefer the cubes because they don't smell like hades. If I drop a cube in my boat it is also easy to clean up. Milo is smells and makes a mess. When small catfish are a problem I just change location or depth. Sometimes moving a hundred yards really improves the fishing.

I use milo and yes it stinks to-hi----- but it works. I got a tip from Chad on using a cheep plastic ball bat cut the top about 4 - 6" depending on the size of the bat. you can really sling it out good cuts down on the mess. Also remember to plug the vent hole in the bottom of the handle or the chum will [censored] on you.

Take it from a rough fisherman. Cubes work for cats and if you need to sling out soured baits check out these. You will need to buy a handle also but these work great! http://www.bigcarptackle.com/gardner-baiting-spoon

Buy a simple slingshot they use for carp bait slinging,I bought one off the carp forums. It is great for milo or cubes and I do winter bank fishing.I do not get wet or messy, and a good one slings it out far.Good luck.
