Just wondering if anyone has done any good crappie fishing clear lake ?

I've caught a lot of smaller ones so I'm sure if you are going to target them there should be some good slabs in there.

Yes a few times, when it's full I use gulp alive minnows on a jig head and slay em in the timber. It's been over a year though

LBJ grasslands don't overlook the bass fishing though, there's 10 lb'ers in clear lake as well

Where in Alvord did your uncle move to, I live here as well Not sure the name of the street but it's right behind the liquor store there in town.

Don't know about Clear Lake, but Cottonwood and Black Creek took heavy flooding... Actually saw an alarming number of dead fish floating in Cottonwood, use to be my favorite spot! But now I'm thinking of trying Clear Lake as well

Like Togiak said, bring your bass gear if going to clear lake. That lake is a gem for bass, in quality and quantity. Caught a few crappie there over the years but I found hopewell pond just up the road is better for slabs. Less pressured.

I have actually fished clear lake for bass and knw it is plentiful !! And thanks for the tip. Where can I find this hopewell pond?
