I was talking to a friend at work this morning and Don was telling me he went camping at Lake Whitney last week. He had heard about the town of Towash and had looked for remnants of it before but never found it till this trip, because you can only see it when the lake level is down. We used Google Maps GPS coordinates N31 55.342 W97 20.595 and found the image below. If you go there you can zoom in and see what's left of the foundations of the buildings that used to be in the town of Towash. Just a little history for those that like Lake Whitney!

It is cool to see what appears when the lake is down. There is a lot of history underwater at Lake Whitney.
