Well built like a tank. Should last a long time. Not one stress crack on it. Pretty fast, it will push 70 with a 200 Opti with a 25P prop. Pretty good at getting out of the hole. Nice trailer. Pretty stable to fish out of.

Two things I really do not like about it. They would kill me ever buying another one. Not enough to make me sell this one.

Its had at least 5 touch pads in it. They last about a year even if make every attempt not to get them wet, seal them with Silicone, etc. At $125 each they get real irritating especially when you put the boat in for a tournament and the bilge, lights or livewell do not work. Initially the control box was mounted under the dash with a single screw in one corner. No chance that would ever hold up. I made a special aluminum bracket to mount it properly to where its solid and any water would drain out. They should either go back to the manufacturer to get the issue corrected or at least sell them at cost.

It rides pretty rough. I can't imagine that anyone thinks its a good riding boat but some seem to. The 181 Champ I had rode infinitely smoother. Also my brothers 19ft Charger rides so much better. On Conroe ride means a lot. It will beat you up when its not that rough out.

This comment serves no purpose for a prospective buyer....this is your opinion.....this guy needs information from actual BassCat owner experiences, not mine or your opinion on what they look like...lol. He already knows what they look like.

Really, you need to re-read what the OP asked for...besides every comment posted is an opinion be it based on fact or feeling...and a fact is the front end of a bc lacks style and looks silly...period...and your right he does know what they look like and his opinion was he never thought it would happen so I guess the silly thing had to grow on him...huh...lol

I loved everything about the one I had, except the trolling motor pedal was so far on the nose that fishing in rough water solo during winter months made me get rid of it

I owned a Puma, absolutely loved it...customer service is second to none for sure!! I sadly had to sell, but i recently bought a new Phoenix, and my opinion there is a night and day difference in the ride, and fishibility in a Phoenix!! Havent had to deal with customer service yet really, so cant say to much about theres, and luckily my dealer up here is a Basscat and Phoenix dealer, so i know i will be taken care of regardless.

I have been in many different types of boats and never owned a basscat. When I have fished out of them they are great boats. What I have found out about them is they have been the fasted boat I have been in. One had a 225 and a 250 Merc. I could not believe the speed they had.

Thanks,

We all have our own thoughts on a 'FAVORITE Ride'..it will ALWAYS be a Skeeter for me !!
3-4 brands obviously stand at the top and All have some 'special feature' that makes em' sell
Go fish in one all day before you buy it, that's the real test.

Pick the one ya like then "Drive it like ya Stole it"!!!!

I don't own a cat but have fished out of several. I have a Ranger and Love it however if I was in the market I certainly would have a cat on the list of ones to try. From what I hear about the company its kind of like picking out a nice guitar. Yes the epiphone has all of the same parts as the custom shop Gibson but the custom shop Gibson does the work the right way the first time and with better equipment. Price tag is also affected by this attention to detail. I like to buy once and keep for a long time.... except for my guitars.....I have a few too many. anyone want yo buy a les paul or 2?
