Hello C.A.S.T. Members, Oak Cove will be using digging equipment to clear a beaching area on the south/right hand side of the marina cove. By digging this area out couples will be able to beach their boats for pick-up and trailering. The ramp will be kept as clean as possible during tournament weekend. DO NOT expect it to be cleaned on a daily basis before the Classic; it does cost money each time equipment is brought in to dig!!! There will only be one boat lane going out and into the cove primarily to the left toward the jetty and trees. Once boats are even with the end of the jetty they can bear slightly left between the trees or close to the largest tree near the cove entrance. The water is deep enough in this area. We will be marking the shallow areas once we get within Classic week, unless someone wants to do this task on their own beforehand. There is another ramp available at Fishermans Point 230 FM 416, Streetman, TX 75859;(903) 389-5218. We will be using this ramp and Oak Cove on both tournament days. One half of the field will launch at Oak Cove and the other half of the field will launch at Fishermans Point. The ramp utilized by each couple will be determined by boat number; odd numbers at one ramp and even numbers at the other. Couples will switch ramps for the second and final day of the tournament. There will be a designated weigh-in scale at both locations. The same scale will be used at the same location both days. Conducting the tournament this way eliminates congestion at Oak Cove and allows everyone to be on the water in time for boat numbers to be called in a timely manner. On Sunday everyone will return to Oak Cove Marina after their weigh-in for awards presentations and final comments. We are confident all of these actions will help make our event exceptional allowing everyone to have a great tournament.
If anyone has questions or need more information please feel free to contact us anytime. Until Later... God Bless and Good Fishin'! John & Grace Watts C.A.S.T.

This is not an easy job making sure all of this is coordinated and works well. Thank you John and Grace for all of the work you do leading up to these tournaments.
Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

1 1/2 ft. at the ramp and all the way out. Only beachable area is just right of the ramp. Very tough with 2 boats coming and going.

The ramp and channel going out will be ready for tournament weekend. Jerry has a plan to keep us afloat!

Owner of oak Cove Marina, he and his wife Roylee are probably two of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
