I will be hitting the jetties at Surfside-Quintana again this week, looks like Wednesday right now, and am looking for someone else to hit it too. In all likelihood it'll be an eight hour day. I don't mind getting washed away by a rogue wave, but just need a witness (for the family). There's just something about the Texas Jetty scene right now ...

I plan to go next long weekend holiday, in October.

Good thing nobody bit on this one! Fish didn't either. Amazingly lively area, had all the baitfish you would ever want to see (again), even rolling tarpon, but just not enough gamefish, or not enough gamefish eating - or perhaps too well fed! Time to move back up the coast (or way down) ...

The wind has made things tough for jetty fly guys in my area, but I've heard reports of hooking up on kings from Port A south jetty - always an adrenaline rush.
