I just looked out the back windows. It's snowing at Cedar Creek. The back deck and the walkway to my dock is starting to turn white! Temp on the back deck is 34 degrees.

Thanks. I'll probably wait until tomorrow afternoon to head down. Sunday's supposed to warm up. I might be playing hooky on Monday. ------------------ steve pine

Snowing heavy in Tyler at 2:30 but not sticking. Decided to cancel trip to Bass Pro Dallas tomorrow. They are expecting 1 to 3 accumulation. Will watch fishing shows and read.

I had to laugh at your post oldeputy. Coming from Canada years ago, its been a very long time since I saw snow falling, let alone in central Texas. It brought a smile to my face until I thought about my brand new beloved boat in the garage with a grand total of 2 hours on the motor.
Suddenly, I realized why I live in Texas. Come on SPRING!!!!!
I am very arthritic, so good luck to all the contenders in tomorrow's tournament. You have my respect, now that's hard core fishin'!

I stepped out of my office for a quick break here in Richardson late this afternoon, it was heavy overcast, about 40 degrees, but almost dead calm. Not sure what the barometer was doing, but I've got to admit...had I not been working, I think I would have been bundled-up and on the lake, at least giving it a shot! The winds are still pretty light here, something's definitely coming... Tight and unfrozen lines,

Took the wife out for a valentine dinner and movie. There was almost an inch accumulation of snow on our dock walkway and lawn when we left. It snowed heavily on us all the way there. Just got back and it's almost gone. It was nice to see though only for a short while. Usually if we get anything it's sleet or hail, seldom is it snow!
Note: Saw the weirdest thing. It was snowing heavily with large flakes about 4:00 p.m. when we crossed the 198 bridge at Twin Creeks. Sand bass were topping just off the NE end of the bridge covering an area of about an acre in fairly shallow water. At least I assumed it was sand bass. Haven't seen them do that since the first week in December. Reckon they just wanted to see what all that white stuff was?
