Out there yesterday for a few hours and it was pretty bad, but the fish were biting.

What's pretty bad? Also is it due to the recent rains?

It hasn't been good since the grass was devoured. Very Stained this weekend, maybe 2-3 feet of visibility in and outside of creeks, better mid to upper lake. Recent 8 inches of rain didn't help. Need to use baits that move a lot of water, bright cranks that make noise, etc. They are definitely biting though, just caught a 10.75 on Saturday.

North of Dell, chocolate milk. Mid lake, normal LA grassless stain. I had good success in the chocolate milk with black/blue jig or black blue fleck power worm.

Getcha some senkos... wackyrig em, T-rig em... throw em under docks and find trees hanging down into the water. That seems to do the trick on most days. also, once you launch head toward the lake travis dam. That side of the lake seems to produce better for most people, and gets slightly less pleasure boat and jet ski traffic than the area down towards Hula Hut does.

For anyone who visited Lake Austin in 2012-2013, the clarity is nothing like it used to be. Any sort of rain gets it muddy very quickly. Just look at the aerial photographs on Google Maps. That is the new water color of Lake Austin. If I think about it too hard, I get pretty down about it. Hopefully things get better this winter, but if we have the El Nino weather pattern (and I hope we do because we need the rain) it will stay muddy all winter.
The fishing is the same insofar as it is completely different from one day to the next. Smoke them on a bait and in an area one day and the next day get blanked.
As someone said, the portion of the lake above 360 has historically held the better fish and where most tournaments are won. Good luck.

The fish adjust to the water, now the fisherman must do the same. Fishing is still good
