Love it out here this time of year. Just a handful of boats on the water today and shallow flipping bite is heating up.
No big fish just consistent action throughout the day. Solid chunks that bite with some thump.
Tried punching grass, working pads and some deep water stuff with no luck. Had a few follows on small swim b a it with a swipe or two but no hookups. Lots of bait up shallow as well.
Can't wait till the first real cold front to get things going great.

Mayflies covered me up Saturday night on Fork

The catfish moved in fast. Unfortunately only a couple of small bass wanted to play but it was fun watching the fish eat the mayflies.

Using green pumpkin bait similar to a beaver with 3/8 weight. Running points flipping stumps in 2-8' of water. Stayed North today. Had a couple in Long Bra b ch. Threw a swim jig and frog in glade with no luck. Did see a nice one that was about to due struggling on surface in Glade.

Wife had the Bose Soundwave streaming some William Clark Green and Wade Bowen. Very relaxing day. Just enjoyed the cloud cover and hanging out with the wife.

Really expected moving baits to be the deal considering conditions but no luck. They were tight to cover.

Happy to help. I have done the exact same thing and left my water on as well when I leave.

Hope you guys get to make it back down. Weather should be right.

Me and a friend were out there over the weekend. Caught 10 to 15 each day, my largest went about seven pounds. The majority of our fish were caught using a yellow magic and a trap. He is fishing the BassCat tourney this weekend, oh and the mayflies were out in force all over the lake.
