After catching my first one, I'm addicted to that fight. But I went out fishing last night and had many runs, but they would drop the bait or just wouldn't take it. No where neat the amount of action we have had earlier. Is there a reason for this? I'm fishing lake belton and have been using minows, fresh shad, or cut bluegill/sunfish

I fished the Guadalupe river yesterday, 3 aquarium sized catfish, one 3' long nose gar and that was it. Hit my two favorite gar spots and only got one run from each. Weather was cloudy with rain on and off and cool. Wasn't the hot sunny day they prefer.

My personal best is still swimming out there just getting bigger. One of these days I will quit feeding it.
