Biffle missed it due to his wife's medical issues that led to him dropping out early this year. Kevin Short missed an event and still qualified. Tough year from the looks of those on the list.

peaks and valleys. even the best have them. lots of risk in fishing. still my heros though! I can sit in front of the tv and still get chills watching bassmaster or flw!

It is definitely a format that requires these sticks to be on top of their game no matter where or when or what bodies of water. No easy accomplishment ! For an entire season, no less.

That's what makes fishing so challenging even the very best have down years and bad tournaments. I'd expect Van Dam to come back strong next year.
