Looking for some reasonably priced spinning reels that hold a lot of line any suggestions would be appreciated

Is there any known issues with optix 60

Not really - I have several - a 50-60 lbr could break it but not likely

Agreed on the salt strikers .
Another option to consider in that price range would be the Penn
Fierce 8000 with instant anti reverse and all metal body. Not a bad
reel either.

I have some old Penns and love them I was going to buy a new spinning Real in fact it was the on BigPoppa007 listed but after talking with a friend i found they are not made the same as use to his gear stripping on a 20lb fish he paid close to $70 for it I am still king to my Abues and old Mitchell 300 series reals. those Mitchells ar all metal and last for every mine are well over 30yr old and still going strong and you can pick the up for about 30$
