Guys please enlighten me. Was he the head deckhand with the long hair? A quiet guy?
I never keep up with their names.
That's sad..... real sad.

he was always right there, man........ Yes he was. And that's the one I was thinking about. He would follow me around when I was fighting a tuna and keep his hand under my line to keep it from rubbing the rail. Sad.

I vow to catch a Big YFT in his honor on the H4L stick bait he picked out for me from the pile I got two big blowups and smoking pulls on that bait last year but both shook off. It was always a pleasure fishing with Garret. R.I.P. we all gonna miss ya buddy. Charlie

Well guys I have been avoiding this thread because I start thinking about spending money I don't have when a spot comes open. As for the reason I am posting... My school recently employed an art teacher. He recently lost his stepson in a car crash and I attended the funeral out of respect for my new colleague. When I walked into the sanctuary I thought I saw Casey Bingham (last name might be wrong), he used to deck hand on the Cat and has moved to Deep Sea Headquarters. I dismissed this as an impossibility. After taking my spot in standing room only, I took a look at the picture board and things suddenly became very real for me. It was Garret's funeral, I never knew he grew up 15 miles from where I live. There were many familiar faces deckhands and captains. I took a picture of the picture board but I am uncertain if it is appropriate to post it without family approval.
The last time I saw him was after last years trip when I was paying him back for a swivel he let me have out of his personal stuff. Here I am being pissy and petty about not going fishing all the while missing the big picture of good health for me and my family. I can not fathom the loss of ones child.
Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

That proves it's a small world after all Bryan.
I feel that in a sense we (our group) was represented there by your attendance.
Thanks for going.

These are Black Dog jigs. They are out of Weatherford and look pretty good. Are these good? What weights are we looking for? I have 200 to 450 gram jigs just in case. I have some Benthos coming.
