Very cool. Never knew they were "hand painted". I was surprised at the hooks they used. I always thought they were using cheap hooks and changed them out before I used the bait.

great video. Had no idea about how they made their product and where the name came from! Makes me want to buy some just to support them plus they do catch fish.
My granddad in law used to use a chrome and black or chrome and blue in the fall and spring and flat out wear them out down the big cypress bayou river. Mainly government ditch. Him and his buddy would fish everyday and I don't recall him having a day when they didn't catch something on it.

600 SKU's seems crazy. I guess that is why it is so lo tech. Changing out automated equipment for that many SKU's would be daunting. But, with 50% of the sales in Chrome/Blue I would think there would be a way to automate at least that color. In any case, there is probably good reason for all of this. I'm sure it is a well run company with a group of smart folks.

I would spend most of the day at first aid getting hooks removed if I tried to put hooks on a crank bait that fast

It's guaranteed I've worn that lady who's been painting those things for 20 yrs paint job off more than a few of those things. Cool video! I like the low tech, handmade approach.

Thanks for this video. I had no idea how much hand-painting and hand-assembly was required. Better appreciation for them now!
