You start by joining a local tournament league. After you have mastered the art you can move up into regional tournaments and qualify for bigger tournaments. Be prepared to take years and a lot of money and effort. And even then you may not make it unless you have a gift for catching bass.

Catching bass isnt the hard part. I guess it would be the money. I have someone that wants to sponsor me but I have no boat and I feel thats holding me back.

-Get a boat.
-Own your own business so you can leave when you need to.
-Latch on to that sponsor.
-Win big tournaments and save your money.
-Sleep in the back of your truck and save your money.
-Carry all your food; never eat out and save your money.
-Winning the Lottery would be great.

You have a very long hard road ahead of you. Without a boat, not rich, and don't know anything about it,you have a long way to go. I've been there back in the 70's & 80's and it was very hard and expensive back then and it's a lot harder and much more expensive now. Good Luck

Go co angler in FLw that will give you a lot of experience at alot less cost than his jumping in head first.

Co- angler is the way to go if you don't have a boat. Check out FLW, Bassmaster and ABA (American Bass Anglers). All should have some Texas events that will get you into the tournaments fishing from the back of the boat. FLW and Bassmaster both have national events, co-angler entry fees are around $300.00 or more per tournament. ABA has weekend events, one day with different divisions divided up by region.

Good luck

By reading the questions you are asking and stating that catching fish is not a problem, I don't think you will make it. Railhead posted some good info to start with.

If you have to ask for the answer to this, don't give up your day job. I can assure you that you are not ready.
