Hey Guys. There will be a Fishing For Freedom tournament on Lake Belton on October 11th. This tournament gives us the opportunity to get some active duty service men and women along with some other veterans out on the water. At present it appears that they need probable another 70 boats at least to get all the veterans into a boat. I believe first place is a new Triton. There is no entry. This is the website with the information. http://fishingforfreedom.org Any other questions can probable be answered by contacting Texas Boat World in Harker Heights and asking to speak with Chris Brown at 254.699.9151. Let's get these guys and gals in a boat and out on the water for a great day of fun. Hope to see yall out there.

Hope so...now we just need some more boats. I'm excited. This will be my first opportunity to catch a smallie. Never been on a lake that had em.

There's loads of smallies been catching more smallmouth than largemouth lately, they did a big stocking a couple years or so ago and I think those fish are now big enough to catch.

Last year winning team pulled a 7 lb large mouth to win. Looking forward to getting out on a lake where you can turn in a good mix of large mouth and smallies!

Thanks for the post. I just registered, looks like I need to go to Belton this weekend. How is the water level on this lake, I have never been on it.

It's low but safe enough to travel and plenty of shad running around!
