I have been there once when I was a Freshman in HS (40 years ago). How is for running the lake? My son and I are fishing the Media Championship there. Don't want to rip my lower unit off. Thanks in advance.

Stay in the boat lanes. The la side is marked better but the Texas side you shouldn't have a problem if you follow the bouys

As Jaret said, "stay in the boat lanes". The lake is at a good level and you will not have an issue running around. Just stay in the lanes when running and you'll be fine. Good luck.

But be careful around Indian Mounds for there is a stump/log in the boat lane. It's just barely sticking up above water just a couple of inches.

With several big tournaments coming up in the next few weeks the questions are flying. Kinda interesting for a lake where people don't talk much. I know if I had never been on the lake before I would want to know how to run around. With all the stumps it can look scary and right now you can't see half of them. Like they said staying in the boat lane is a must.
Darold can I have a guide trip this week?

I'm already taking out half of the FOM and Media guys Ryan, just don't think I can squeeze you in. Call me in January and we can go throw the 5 splash rig one day. It is great seeing all of these Toledo threads. See ya in a few weeks big guy.

Yeah that work has really put a damper on my fishing this year. This time of year conditions start changing and can make the fishing real inconsistent. So practice is critical. But there is always somebody catching them somewhere.

Sunday was a good morning and a tough rest of the day. Top water bite was good til about 8:30. Only caught three small fish the rest of the day. Saw one decent school come up but, of course, too far away. Punched a lot of grass from Lowes Creek to White Oak Creek. No bites.
Going back second week of October, come on cooler weather!
