So I haven't fished on Waco all summer long. I heard it was tough. I am planning to go on Sunday. You think I would do better on Waco or Tradinghouse? Any info is much appreciated.
Thanks Cliff

2 weeks ago my friends won Wednesday night jackpot with 17 lbs (3 fidh). This week it took 2.49 lbs. The 17 lbs was not the norm.

I would say give tradinghouse a go.. Lake waco is a dink fest right now. Ive seen some toads come out of trading house and waco is very hit and miss.

I caught 3 bass and a white....The white was the biggest. Lol. There was a huge school of fish busting shad near the ramp but it was tough getting them to bite. Thanks again for the info.

Fished a club tourney Saturday on trading house we were the only team with a five fish limit and they only weighed 7.00 pounds. And that was good for first place

We fished Waco Saturday and landed 23 blacks with a few small spots mixed in. Had a limit of keepers with a couple of decent ones. I was shocked to say the least.

The lake has been on a decline the last 3 yrs. I lived in Waco from 2005 to 2010. First trip on the lake I caught a 7 and several 3's and 4's. Fished the first 3 South 40 Shootout tournaments. The first one was held in a torrential rain storm. It was won by a team that only weighed in 2 fish. A 10lb and a 8lb. The top 10 places all had over 15 lbs. The following year it took over 20 go win and over 15 to get a 20th place check. Wed night routinely was won by 15lbs to 16lbs for 3 fish. The biggest change I know of to the lake was the stocking of the hybrids about 4 yrs. ago to reduce the shad count and improve the quality of the water. I personally think the rotting tree trucks and lake of grass in the shallows has cut the oxygen content in a lot of the traditional good fishing areas.
John K Fontenot Diapers and Politicians need to be changed often; and for the same reason.

I do not know why Waco has become so hard to get a lot of good keeper bass. I fish it at less once if not twice a week and in the past year it's been tuff. Me and my buddy called it yoyo lake because it was very low or very high. All the grass and weeds are gone. Until a year ago we could all way catch three to five pounders every trip. Last weekend we put our hands on at less 28 bass and only one or two were keepers. Maybe the cooler weather will improve the fishing.

Ranger 520, do you have a lake close to Waco (75 miles or so) you would recommend?

I was raised in Mexia. All my old school buddies still fish there. Good lake.
