There is a 15 rod storage system, 17 stowaway boxes of tackle ( in the middle compartment up front), life jackets, rain gear, etc. 3 well insulated coolers (only use one for a cooler). I usually take 8 or 9 rods myself, so my partner (when there is one) can stow 6 or 7 rods, and put his tackle bag in the other rod box in the front with my gear. There is also a deep glove box for cameras, scales, tools, sunscreen, spare sun glasses and safety glasses, maps, gloves (LOL), etc. I LOVE my ChampioN! Oh and the merc 175efi pushes it 65-68 , and I get 3-4 trips on a tank of gas. Next!

2001 Ranger 520 - I think the only complaint is the speed. I like all the gauges, cooler, storage space, big back deck, glove-box, etc. But fully loaded (gas gear - 450# of persons, etc.) I will be going 64 - 66. On the best days, I hit 67 - 68. I think the way it takes the waves makes it worth it, but the weight does slow it down.

Well where do I start.
First off, Tim Cline is correct in his last sentence.
I love my Rig 2004 ZX 225 Skeeter with 225 HPDI.
Dislikes, not many. 1. I would like a recessed T/M pedal. 2. Water tight under seat compartments 3. stowable boarding ladder 4. better lid latches, these "new design" latches sux. It's my understanding that Skeeter has addressed all these issues in the 2006 model. wait n see.
Hey Big John B. I don't care what you say, YOU got a good look'n Bug Boat brother.

The only complaints I have in regards to my Ranger 520vx are: Switches not lit. Rounded fenders make it sometimes tough when climbing out of the boat. BOAT IS NOT PAID FOR! Really wish I could figure out how to take care of that last one.

I have a 2000 Skeeter 202cZX. I love the boat. However, if I had to make a complaint,1. the fact if I put in a aftermarket recessed trolling motor pedal, I hear the deck with sag. 2. The labeling for the panel switches is not lit up. Until you memorize what does what, makes it difficult in the dark to turn on/off things. I've had heck with the decals as well. But overall, love the boat.

I have a 2003 ZX225 with a Yamaha 225 HPDI. Things I don't like: Yamaha came out with a 300 after I bought my boat. I am not knocking the 250s that were available I liked the 225 better; however, ZX250 with a 300 is the "bomb". I don't like the way the batteries and oil tank are arranged on a plate and you can not get to pumps and so forth under them without taking everything out then putting it all back together. I would have preferred them placed on the ledges where I will be putting them once the warranty expires. On real rough water the bigger the better so I would have preferred the 250 in this case. Other than one bay boat I have always been a Skeeter owner with no intention on changing.

I have a 1999 Ranger R71. The only thing I don't like about it is that the rod locker is not long enough for my flippin' stick. I guess 7.5' flippin sticks weren't common in Flippin Arkansas back then.
Everything else is just fine and this is so minor it doesn't really matter.

The thing I dislike most about my boat is the money I have to spend on to keep it on the water......Nobody told me the Boat meant "get ready to buy new cranking battery, tolling batteries, new pumps, lower unit oil changes, new impeller(sp?), gps, new graphs, new trolling motor, repair trolling motor, repair trolling motor, repair trolling motor and tune ups"......But other than these few things, I love owning a boat .

Wait until the new '06 Skeeters arrive before you make your decision. Only boats I have been in are Skeeters- so pretty biased. '02 I am going to purchase I fish in regularly- only thing I dont like are the compartment lid handles, they have trouble staying down then they get kicked off. Skeeter fixed that problem in 04'(I think) definately '05. I wouldnt have a dual console if you plan on fishing team tournaments- the passenger console gets in the way. Just tell your partner to get a helmet to protect from the wind and bugs. If you need to go for a demo ride in a Skeeter just give me a hollar and we can wet a line.

I ride around in a 21', 225hp tin can; an Xpress 21 dual console. The two items that I really don't like is the lack of a cooler, insulated or not. The other thing is that it sits high out of the water, so the wind tends to blow you around a lot. (But I've learned a lot about controlling a boat with a trolling motor).
I think the new models have an insulated ice chest now.

I have 2004 Skeeter 190SX and it does not ride good in rough water like a heavier boat like Ranger although in calmer water it runs a lot better than Ranger. Had to have new livewell pump put in. More fish is caught out of back of my boat but when I fish as coangler in pro-am in Rangers more fish caught from front.

Bwahahahahahah! I got a 2001 Tracker 185. It has a 50 horse on it. Dislikes: It is slow (24 MPH) It is smallish (18') No cooler. No fancy fiberglass. No fancy electrics. Wind moves it really fast. Likes: The fishing decks front and back are surprisingly big. I have plenty of storage space for my stuff. The 42# trolling motor does a pretty good job. I can run on a tank of gas forever. Oh yeah. One more like. It was FREE. My GF's Dad give it to us. It is the best boat in the world at that price. I really do like fishing out of it, but would like to get one of these $40K garbage barges someday.

I know you want to hear all the negative Nitro but check out a Champion, if you notice there was only 1 post about a Champion and it got a great reply. Some of the pther complaints are things I could care less about, a boat should suit the individual. My 2 cents.
