i also live in seagoville also. well you can always try kaufman city lake go towards cc on 175 take the canton exit follow it thru town till the edge of town will be 34 going towards terrell take a left only way you can go on 34 about 2 miles down on your right will be city lake park turn right into it, first tank dried up no fish back tank has a boat ramp plus can be fished from shore. on the dam is hit and miss on crappie and catfish main lake point by the boat ramp is usually goo for at least a few of each specied on minnows thrown off the end of the point. very shallow lake but some huge bass/catfish and crappie in it. other then that you can try to find some sandpits in the seagoville bottoms and get permission to fish them hope it helps you with close places also mesquite city park has some huge carp in it plus crappie and small bass pascall city park which is by mesquite city park ive heard has some good fish in it also take care mark keep in touch when i get back i can show you some other places close to our area for fishing

Or you could just go to one of the SEVERAL small lakes within a 30 min radius of you. Google Map it....I have caught 2 of my largest bass out that direction in the past year...one of them was today, and I saw something that you would have to see to believe...a school of bass, LARGE bass crashing shad all morning, I mean like sandbass action, but for hours. And then they moved deep but in the same area...TONS of fish all were nice.

Hey Mark thanx. At these gravel pits do the normally allow you to fish there? Are you talking about the ones on beltline. And I would love to know where these other spots are when you get back

I own some lakes on the west side of Tarrant County. These are managed lakes and the bass fishing is catch and release, closed barb fishing. Current lake record is 12 lb 5 oz, had several weighed in during the Spring last year from 8 to 11 pounds. This place is not for everybody but the fishing is fantastic. We currently are building 20 new brushpiles , 10 in each lake to be completed by 1-15-07. We have two lakes with about 8 acres of water. We work closely with Texas Parks and Wildlife to manage our bass populations which currently run @ 250 pounds per acre. There are four docks, a new concrete boat launch for small boats, (no gas engines)and a complete restroom ( gals have to have one). Our web page is www.supremebassfishing.com, I have seen several people on the forum who have fished there in the past. Our goal is for our customers to catch fish, be comfortable, and not drive for hours and then get there and be blown off the water (you can bank fish and catch fish when the wind acts up) Call me or e-mail me if you want more info. The trout are good now, but by early Feb. the large females will be staging and beginning to bed, our lake record was caught in May after she had spawned, otherwise she would have been over 13.5 pounds. Hehe, I think the whole carp brigade would pay to fish a lake like that, Mark, and pretty often too!
