I posted a topic the other day about one setup you would NEVER throw. Now I want to see what people would choose if they could only have one choice in the boat with them. And let's say all year long. So what is something you can work different depths, water temps, and all condidions?
For me it would be a jig hands down. You can drag it, hop it, swim it, and catch em deep and shallow all year long.
What say you?

Jig would probably be the most effective for all bass scenarios over the entire year. T-Rig is up there. I don't crank much and I don't fish deep, so a spinnerbait for me, possibly. Probably a jig, though, once I learned how to fish them deep.

Won't leave the house without my Trusty Jig&Craw tied on my Favorite Stick. With that being said put another vote for the Jig.

7'6" Heavy Flipp'n Stick 25lb Floro 1/2oz Blk/Blu Jig w/plastic craw trailer...or a 7' med-hvy spinning rod spooled with 10lb mono w/texas rigged finess worm...i would need them both couldn't be on the water without either of them...just my two cents

Drop shot Not the most exciting way to fish, but very versatile by adjusting leader length, line type, length from hook to weight, hook type, weight, type of plastic used. You can use a jig or shaky head instead of the weight. It catches them shallow, medium, deep, prespawn, spawn, summer, fall. Catches fish that are schooling, chasing, hiding in ambush, and inactive fish.

It would either be a jig or a drop-shot for me.
