I want to get out to Fork to run my boat and do some fishing. I heard there is a tourney coming up... Will it be crazy wednesday (the 17th) or will I be ahead of the mess? Thanks

a lot of people start showing up all week for practice. About 1,000 boats will be on the water friday. So yes I would say its going to be a little packed

Probably not near as bad as you think. Thursday and Friday will suck. I figure I will go to Holbrook or Hawkins Thursday unless bite is strong at Fork tomorrow. Come the weekend ya'll can have Fork and all the boats that are coming.

Are there any rules on pre-fishing as far as time they can be on the water and off the water?

Are there any rules on pre-fishing as far as time they can be on the water and off the water? Fishing must stop 8pm prior to 1st Tournament Day and can begin 6am day of Tournament Day ..see I answered my own question.. 
In order to catch Big Fish..Sometimes you gotta Suffer.

Was not bad at all. Got on Lake a bit later than expected. Fished maybe 2 1/2 hours. Found some smaller fish in the grass across from Oak Ridge. They would just follow a frog so I tied on one of my handpoured 4" soft plastic swimbait in a shad pattern with a 1/8 oz belly weight hook. Just finessed over the grass as well as edges. When they sat it they crush it. Mostly keeper sized fish.
