Buzzbait here too.
As far as drop shot I guarantee you can catch a ness of fish on any lake on one. it's just a different way to present the same stuff you throw on TX rigs, c rigs etc. I don't fish it often but when I wanted to learn it I caught fish all kinds of ways using it, even casting up to a bank and dragging it back like a c rig.

I doubt if I'll ever use an A-rig or throw a spybait...but I do love my buzzbaits! I'm still trying to learn dropshotting.

I'll throw anything to catch fish but I hate throwing a spinnerbait....I just do not know the subtleties of fishing one.

Ive caught a lot of great fish on a drop shot when nothing else would work, and ive caught giants on an alabama rig. Anyone who says they wont ever throw a certain lure for no good reason is a fishing fool, and they should fish w someone who knows how to catch fish when theyre not biting. I always want to learn how to fish what i dont know.

I was completely against the A-rig for about the first year. I listened to what everyone else said and never tried it to form my own opinion. But after getting out there and learning when and how to use it, I really like to throw it in certain situations and have full confidence in it.

A 10XD crankbait. That's a young mans bait. I'm to old to work that hard to catch a fish.

TogiakTerror: you sir, are the one labeling me, "the god of fishing." I never said I knew everything. I'm just sharing my honest opinion, just like everyone else on this forum, yourself included. That's the purpose of this forum. Therefore, I'm going to continue to do so, despite what you think.
Sincerely, -"the god of fishing"
ps. that's a really awesome 2.5lb bass in your picture! Impressive!.....what's not impressive is your display name. And actually also the fish, I was lying, it's really weak.

3 years ago, I would say Drop Shot, I hate it to this day!! Sadly at times, it is the only way I can catch em'. If you have not tried it, you are truly missing out.
Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

Sounds like I need to spend some time with a drop shot in my hand. It just has so many uses I don't know where to start with one. I guess there's only one way to learn

1/0 Gamakatsu Splitshot/Drop shot hook, 4.5" Aaron's Magic Roboworm, 8lb flouro, HUNDREDS of 1/4 or less drop shot weights(you're going to lose a lot of them) and a fairy wand and you should be set. Just remember with a drop shot less is more. Light line, small hooks, and small baits. Also, don't move it too much! Just let it sit there for a bit and slowly drag it back to the boat. Only shake it to bounce it over any kind of cover it may get hung up in. Good luck!
