Hard to beat the Daiwa Tatula. The TAT741HFB alone is so versatile that you literally can use it on 4-5 techniques and it excels at them all. What techniques do you use it for?

Hard to beat the Daiwa Tatula. The TAT741HFB alone is so versatile that you literally can use it on 4-5 techniques and it excels at them all. What techniques do you use it for? Its called a frog rod and it's great for that but I like it on soft plastic swimbaits up to 5", it's a great umbrella rig rod, 10xd rod, Also good flipping/pitching rod with 1/2 oz and up baits. Buddy used one in Florida as well for punching mats. It can double up as a conventional deep cranking rod too. Nice backbone with a tip that is great for accurate presentations. You just gotta pick one up and see it for yourself. Better to hold one in ha d rather than describe it. They got this model right but all the Tatula series are nice to me. 1

Another TFO vote. I've got different St Croixs including high end, old All Stars, AG Vendettas, American Rodsmiths, BPS carbonate, etc a lot of different rods. The one thing I've noticed about the TFO Heavy I have is I don't lose too many fish on it once hooked up. I've guessed that the parabolic action of the rod helps on a quick hook set and doesn't tear the fish's mouth but I don't know. Just dig it. I find myself fishing it longer even when I should throw something else.

TFO rods can't be beat for the price or quality, and they stand behind their product. +1
