 Motor guide foot steer pedal problem

On my motorguide foot steer trolling motor the button on the pedal that make the trolling motor go has gotten to where you have to mash it real hard to make it kick on anyone know how to go about fixing this??

There is a rubber boot/cover that goes over the button on the switch. It's probably worn out and needs replaced.

Its call a momentary switch I replaced mine earlier this year 14.95 for the part from Boris marine. It took about 5 mins only 2 screws to remove and pull switch, remove the elect connections replace elect connections on new switch and replace. Look on the side of the foot pedal where the gray switch is it is located under it. Here is a site of what it looks like when removed. Where are you located?
