Lost one of my Shimano Core 100MGFV to the bottom of Lake Livingston the other day and looking for a replacement. Have any of you guys used this Chronarch? Thinking about getting the CH150CI4HG. Also considering the Quantum tour MG 100. Would appreciate any comments or suggestions.
Thanks

I own 3 of the 150 Ci4 Chronarchs. They are really nice reels. My only issue, for the money I think the new Curados are really great and a better deal. I also have two Cores. I like all three reels quite a bit. I have bought 2 more Curados since I bought the last Chronarch Ci4. I certainly think the Ci4 is an excellent reel and it is very smooth.

So the new "I" model Curados are better than the "G" model? I hated those G models.

Absolutely!! I find very little real world performance benefit going from the new Curado to a Ci4. Go take a look at one. I just bought Shimano Metanium which is awesome but still has only slight benefits over the new Curado (at least in my opinion). I wouldn't personally consider a Quantum if you are used to a Core.

Thanks for the opinion. I really love the cores. Guess I will give the new Curados a try. Thanks again!
