Great event, its too bad lake mead is mostly 1-2lb fish!

Great event, its too bad lake mead is mostly 1-2lb fish! From the couple of guys that I know that have fished it I think its just as much about heat endurance and fishing the conditions than big fish.

I lived out there for a year and would rather fish there with virtually no humidity than on Rayburn in August! Its a beautiful lake and has lots of fish. Just mostly small. 10-12lbs a day will win it

I lived out there for a year and would rather fish there with virtually no humidity than on Rayburn in August! Its a beautiful lake and has lots of fish. Just mostly small. 10-12lbs a day will win it Would like to fish it a time or two. I hear its beautiful.

Wow I think clifford pirch has something figured out on that lake, that is a huge bag on mead this time of year, he did the same thing last year on the last day, coincidence?

You would be surprised how shallow you can catch them. I didn't know any better when I was there and when I saw shallow grass and bushes, it was on lol. I had a lot of 10-13lb days in 2-4 ft of water.

The reports are there is almost nothing shallow to fish since the lake is at record low pool, like 15 lower than its ever been since they finished hoover dam and it filled up, post game show is about to start over on that link we'll see what pirch says or doesnt say

Only one TX stick fishing it... Lots of big names in it.... Uribe is a great stick and so is Bolivar, Rich Tauber or Mike Folksted too
