Do you use it, Does it work and How do you use it.
I have never used it. Always been an artificial, or live bait fisherman, but interested. Now I have tipped artificials with a piece of shrimp, when the bite was slow.

For me, Gulp Alive shrimp has it's days. I have used it weightless Texas Rigged, nose hooked on a jig bounced on the bottom, swimming it, even under a cork, wacky rigged it with a slow fall or under a cork. Heck in rough surf I have nose or tail hooked it and threw it out on a dropper rig. I use new penny regularly, and have tried other colors all with mixed success.
I seem to have better success with the 3 inch compared to the 4 inch, but the neighbor likes the larger ones, go figure.
A thin strip of baitfish, or tipped with a small piece of shrimp helps sometimes. I have even used some fast acting shrimp bites as a flavor teaser for good success.
I just got a couple packages of fish imitations and will try them soon, I am pretty sure they will work well also.

Use it all the time on a jig head for sight casting reds. The pearl is deadly on trout.

Any lure that is scent impregnated mainly causes a fish to hold it in there mouths longer so you can set the hook.. it may help get strikes but just a little. The shrimp is a good shape and it's a good lure.
Like the others have said, use it with a jig head 1/8th oz in 3-5 feet and up to a 1/4 if you are fishing in 8' of water. Also, they are great for flounder (shrimp and swimming mullet) use the 1/4oz or 3/8th oz for flounder on the bottom.
I have also seen Joey Barnet of GNettFishing.com use a weightless presentation with a circle hook and popping cork. rig the circle in about the middle of the head from the bottom out the top.

to me it outfishes rubber, but you have to change em out fairly often or they lose their appeal. you can put it back in the pack and marinate it again though. the only problem i have with em is that they're not a flexable as plastics and don't move as life like. also the ones with a shrimp tail or flapping tail keep losing the tail, looks like the tail is made apart from the body and glued on. after awhile the tail just comes off clean. we use em under popping corks in stained water with good success.

Some good stuff guys, Thanks
I saw a video with the 4 inch mullet for flounder or fluke that the yankee guy called them and was curios. Seems if it has some scent it should do ok. I may try some and see.

Try to fish at ROLLOVER PASS with some rigs like in my pictures an for sure you catch flounder ,red fish ,trout, black drum, etc. At ROLLOVER PASS don't use GULP NEW PENNY.You can use new penny just if the water is clear, but majority of the time the water is not clear.

I like new penny and root beer. Catches just many as live shrimp.
