Do you have boat insurance? If so did you insure the contents of the boat? If so should be covered. If not, nows a good time to get insured in case it happens again. Coverage for boat motor, trailer and everything in the boat is cheap compared to having to start over!

Check the coverage amount for content and make sure it covers everything in the boat, rods, reels, sonar, gear, tackle you name it.

Even my commercial insurance with hefty liability is next to nothing compared to starting over or replacing gear.

I stopped to fuel one time about 10 years ago, ran in for coffee and right back out. Wasn't in the store more than 3 minutes and every rod and reel in the boat was gone when I came back out. Only takes seconds.

Dozen rods and reels alone aren't cheap.
