Going out this weekend on Palestine and wanted to see what the water level was like. I've only been on the lake once and we stayed in Kickapoo creek the entire time. Can you run the majority of the lake from 155 going north or south? Are there any boat lanes? Also are there any pads/grass accessible? Not looking for anybody's honey holes but any help or general information would be appreciated. Trying to keep from ripping off a lower unit.

Stay on the East side of the lake and you can generally navigate ok from the Dam up to the Pump station....20-25 yds off the shore There are stump fields in the middle of the lake above and below 155

Pads and grass are fishable around 315/Kickapoo creek area. This is all idle speed except down powerlines. Suggest putting in at 315 bridge if you are fishing this area. Lake level is really in great shape. Few inches down from full pool. Fish evenings, north of 315. You will find some schooling fish. Early morning and most of day docks are the ticket for consistent fish catching. Rip rap around bridges is fair in the mornings. Lots of docks in and off of Saline Bay on east side of main lake. Cranks, worms and small swim baits around the docks. Lake Palestine resort area (Ledbetter and Highsaw creeks) has some good fish. Deep bite has been off this year for me. Hope you have a great weekend. Let us know how you did.

S20,
This is a well done map, stay with the green and life will be good. In addition if you go South of what Palestino noted ALL is clear.
I agree on the deep bite UNLESS you find my brushpiles...... LOL
SET THE HOOK !!!!!!!!!

I am a boat captain for the upcoming tournament on Palestine. I'm sure lots of captains will be asking for advice. I have only fished Palestine for crappie in the spring. My home lake is Cedar Creek. I plan on pre-fishing on Sunday...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!! The above info is very useful btw.
