Fish are bitting in some places, just not where we were--

I figured there was a tournament there Saturday just by the sheer number of rigs parked at the state park ramp when we got there at 10:30. 22 pounds, very impressive. We didn't catch that much weight but had around 15, all on crankbaits. Just curious as whether cranks were the ticket for everyone else that day. Did catch a few smaller ones on worms.

How many people entered this tournament?

There were only eight boats last time but it was real short notice and there was a tourney at Lake Texoma that day as well.
There is usually around 14 to 17 boats at these tourneys depending on the day and how much time announcement was given before date of tourney.Come on and have some fun MSU

I've seen alot of fish caught and caught alot of fish in the past two weeks out at arrowhead.

It is still dark at 0630. Are we going to wait until safe light or go at 0630? What time does registration start?

I am curious if there was actually a 12lber that was caught during this tourney. Who is the lucky person to break the lake record. Rooster, sorry I didn't show, will definitly show to any after christmas.

texas21j-yeah me too..I heard the guy who caught the 12 lber didn't even get a check,
as it took over 20 #'s again..

so I'd like to get the "rest of the story"

First Place was 21.66 lbs
Second place was not paid out due to shortage of entries
but the 12.71 lber would have been second with around 16 lbs or so with a three fish total.
Third place was 13.52 lbs with 3 fish.
The picture was in the local papers last Thursday and will indeed be a Lake Record!

I,ll will be putting on another tourney around the second or third week in January or maybe two tourneys that month before the trails begin. I'll post later and get flyers out soon.
