Always thought get a limit and hope a kicker is in there somewhere. Starting to think maybe go after a kicker first and then to finish the limit. Big fish traditionally bite best first thing in the morning .

It always feels good to get that limit in the boat. It takes a lot of pressure off which helps me a lot. And I've heard it both ways, a few days ago somebody posted how the big girls bite mid-day. To me it's all about timing

I normally sit back seat so for me a lot depends on the boater. But in an ideal situation im looking for 5 good bites instead of 10-15 small bites. But, with that being said, ive caught tiny fish on my go to big fish bait and have caught good fish on finesse when im just looking for a bite

Limit first, then kicker.

Once five are in the box, breathe deep and go big.

Limit you never know that 5 fish limit may take 1st place unless you have one 15-20lber lol

I am not good enough to put one above the other. I just try to catch what bites....

This is my theory. Plus the first fish is not a "kicker" even if it's "above average". It is just the begining of a huge stringer!:-)

5 two pound fish do me no good , I always fish for quality and backslide if I need to scratch a limit. I am at a point that I am no longer worried about having fish or being embarrased not to weigh any. If I bomb I bomb no big deal.

I have been doing that lately and have compiled a hell of a string of zeros doing so.

I'm a back seat guy so it depends on the boater....however I fish to get bit regardless. I look at the water we are fishing and throw what I feel will get me bit. If I happen to get 5 keepers in the well I narrow my focus....but you can't win if you don't have fish to weigh...

All depends on my prefish. I want to know how to catch big fish and how to catch keepers. Sometimes I can't find those bigger fish.... wait that happens alot.
