I know. After reading all the posts lately about snakes........ last night I was cleaning out some leaves from one flower bed along the house and a jagged forked stick from one of the shrubs stuck me in the ankle and left two small marks.  I knew for sure I had been bitten by a huge copperhead.  I remembered to remain calm when I hit the ground, as I thought for sure I was having a heart attack. I looked around for something to make a tournaquet out of..... then I thought "Hey, maybe it was just a stick that poked me". Sure enough, but the imagination is a powerful thing, isn't it?

Davy said he hates snakes but it aint true! Told me in person he lets em swim right by him. BUT, he did do a wild, crazy, dance by the bushes and when I asked what was wrong....he said "Spider!!" heehee

I think the biggest thing is the fear of the unknown. After all knowledge is power. If you know what your dealing with like diamond back water snake you will know how to react. They are mostly just curious.
