Maybe I have missed it but I don't think I have ever heard of any largemouth bass schooling on Lake Conroe. It happens every year like clockwork on Bastrop and FCL.
What's the word?

Hey I would like to know also.... I have been in the area for 1 year so still very new to the lake fish it a lot but never and schooling.

I have seen them schooling a few times in the past few years but they are always small. I think the best time to possibly catch them schooling is in the fall when when you can see the huge schools of tiny shad on the surface

Does not happen that much if you want schooling fish stick with Bastrop or FCL.

The reason the schooling is good on Fayette and Bastrop is that the high temps from the generation put the shad higher in the water column than the bass. When the bass school who are just hanging around being lazy and a shad school intersect the bass are driving the shad to the top.

I haven't seenit this year.. I've seen it a couple of time in seven coves but nit since the drout. .
