I have not fished my other fly outfits since I started. LOL. I was on the fence for a few years. Picked up my first one and fell in love. For the type of flyfishing I do most of the time it is just perfect. I highly recommend at least trying it out. It is something that has to be felt to truly be appreciated.

Just fished mine yesterday, and as you said it was a blast!
I had a five inch blue gill on when suddenly a large mouth cam out of the deep and ate it. For a while I saw how deeply that rod could bend, then he broke off.

Had the chance to try my Tenkara in Brushy Creek, Blanco and Guadeloupe River yesterday. Enjoying this style of fishing!

Wanted to add that anyone on the fence Tenkarabum.com has a small stream kit that is reasonably priced and a great starting point. For the JDM enthusiast I highly recommend the Nissin Zerosum Tenkara rods!! Simply amazing. Have fun and GO fish.
