Just getting into Amber jack and tuna fishing and was wondering about what size, weight and color jigs work good in the gulf out of port A and galveston? I was thinking white, silver, chartruse, blue and size 6in. 7in. 8in. and 9in. Weight are from 200 grams, 300 grams and 400 grams. Do I need all the different sizes or would just two sizes work? Do you recommend any other size, weight or color? I am a noob at this so Thanks for the help

200-400g, there's normally some good current out in AJ country.
don't worry about size, there's nothing shy about an AJ's appetite.
blue, pink, silver are good colors, holo tape or glow paint make them better.
DON"T SKIMP ON HARDWARE QUALITY!

There is a bunch of them this year feeding on the surface at the rocks we have stopped at. Pretty much anything will do.

Checkout ebasicpower for the cheapest jigs. Jigging world have good/affordable jigs but doesn't come with any hardware (assist hooks/solid and split rings)

Lite-line do you think there is a need for chartruse or would silver, blue, pink and glow cover the basic colors needed?

You mentioned OTI jigs. I highly recommend them. Got a few for this AJ season and did very well on them.
