I've been wanting to build one of those ever since I saw a duck hunter unloading one just like it a couple winters back. He painted it a really nice camo pattern, and loaded all his decoys, shotgun, and paddled out, pretty simple cool design! Good job!

Just one more cast!

Jimbo, don't you live in the San Antonio area? We run a small boat building workshop. You need to swing by some time and check it out. If you want to build a boat, we have the room, tools and expertise you would need to help you complete it. If your interested, PM me and I can give you the address where and when we meet.

And to the OP...nice job man!!! Boat building is such a rewarding hobby!

Once I finish my backyard shop, this is gonna be one of the first projects I start. I've been wanting to build a canoe for a long time.

It's really not bad to make on like this, except for the fiberglass. I tried it tonight on a small lake and it tracks straight, feels pretty stable, moves good, doesn't rock to much, but it's a little too affected by the wind. I'm going to install a keel. Maybe that will help.

Thanks Urban Fisher, I'll definately keep you in mind when I decide to do one! I've enjoyed reading your threads on past builds as well.
