Heavy: Never tubed. I did not know that the tube kept you high enough in the water to keep it outta the top of the waders. Do you use anything to keep it outta the top, wader belt or other?

Thanks and Gig'em, Mark Fairchild

Nope, no wader belt needed, the hevy"ness" keeps water from comin in.LOL!! Actually you sit high enough that water doesn't have a chance to get to the top of your waders.and yes, a kayak would be easy to fish in on most days. Just gotta keep an eye on the wind, JBT can really be nasty with the right conditions. What did ya'll think of my BIG BLUECAT?(pg.27)

God willin', I'm fishin.

Well Folks, just checking lake levels on USGS and our Dear Old JBT is headed back to when the crappie were so good around the Big Island in 03. Level was 2215 then is 2223 now. Hate that we were not able to sustain the rains. Quickly headed back to the days of old.

BKG, good to see you've been doing some great catching! I guess I lost contact with the forim when they changed everything around. We need to get out there sometime soon in my boat.

Ketch: We went inside, it is rainy and cold. Seriously, we gotta get ready and start the JBT Offical 2007 posts. It is a tad mosit and nasty today to be out fishing. But huntin' could be another story. Have not checked levels, are we still fallin'?

MarkA, yes, unfortunately, the lake is still falling. With less water in the lake, the fish have fewer spots to hide. That should make for easy catching! I'd actually go if someone would go with me. It's hard to get my boat in the water by myself. No problem in the summer, it's just a little cold to be wading out in the water now.

Happy New Year!

Ketch: That, the ramp thing, has ALWAYS been my problem with JBT. I cannot launch and recover my boat from that ramp, that is why I went to Kayak. I'd help ya, but it is too cold and is HUNTING season. See ya there in the Spring!
