I heard it start raining a little while ago and went in the garage, the door is open. I saw what looked like a 20 foot snake zip across the floor and go behind a cabinet. OK, maybe it's not quite 20 feet (Rat Snake?). I'm hoping it will find it's way back out of the garage. 
Past performance is the best predictor of future behavior...

Really hard to tell from the angle and distance but it looks like a Blotched Watersnake to me. Almost 100% certain not a Ratsnake but again the angle and the distance make it hard to tell.

 20'!!! Good grief, that's HUGE!! It's a snake....nothing else needs be said. Hope you 'encouraged' him/it to LEAVE! Glad you didn't investigate too closely......others may say differently on here but, snakes don't generally have a 'good personality'.
