So I finally got my boat out on the water for the 1st time last week. Wouldn't start at 1st, primer bulb wasn't pumping gas to motor, luckily I had a siphoning pump n my truck and exchanged the primer bulbs and started working. Well that was a brand new bulb replaced 1 wk before. And before that 1 a different mechanic had replaced that 1. So thats 4 different bulbs which 3 were brand new and only worked once because the 1 I had n my truck only worked that 1 time and now will not pump fuel. Starting to realize I'm missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Boat is a 94 skeeter zx200 with a 94 mercury 200.

sounds like you have something in the fuel line, when you replace the bulb you break vacuum and it clears till next time.

The mechanic replaced the fuel lines when he worked on the boat. Idk what it could be. My cousin messed with it the day before yesterday and opened the gas cap and disconnected the line to the bulb and started pumping it till gas cane out then connected the line back and boat started right up. But tried that today and bulb never pumped any gas.

Questions?
Is your cap vented and working correctly?
Is the bulb installed in the correct position and not backwards?
Was every inch of fuel line replaced?

If the cap is not venting, that could be an issue.
Ethanol will eat up fuel lines and cause problems if your not using an additive.

Bulbs do not go bad like this. They are bad immediately when installed or the valve will get to where it will not hold after several years. You have a fuel assembly leak between the bulb and the tank. It doesn't take but a very small leak. Many times I have to put my finger over the motor end while letting off of the bulb, take finger off when compressing the bulb when installing a new bulb or fuel line assembly. Tempo and Muller bulbs are good. Attwood not so good.

I'm going to check for leaks tomorrow and make sure its venting correctly. Bulb is on right and mechanic said he replaced all fuel line since that's what was wrong with motor in the first place. Line had deteriated and clogged up the injectors.
