Howdy Everyone,
I'll be tying some jigs and crappie flies at the Garland Bass Pro Saturday morning. I got involved with the Dallas Fly Fishers a few years back but they let me in anyway. I should be around that fly tying table somewhere. I'm no super tyer, but I have picked up a trick or twelve over the years. If you're out there stop by the fly tying deal and say howdy. If you're an accomplished gig tyer, please stop by and show me what the heck I'm supposed to do...and bring a band-aid for when I poke myself. smile

Hook, I like those. I think pink with a lighter pinkish tail would be a good combo...

Do you sell them, or just do it for fun?

Hey its not a problem at all. Thats what this forum is for, to help other sportsmen, and promote this fantastic sport.
I know it wasn't the best learing or teaching enviorment, but you seem to take to it pretty quick.
There isn't any magic to tying a jig, just a little practice and your off and running.

Let me know if there is anything i can do to help out.

I agree FK....fishing is sportsmanship...it is like golf...you want to shoot well, but it is ok if another shoots well also...it doesn't hurt you...well, unless you have money on it, lol.

People that want to outfish others, and hide their alleged expertise miss the concept of fishing and sportsmanship. Although, I will admit, when Brian caught more than me like 5 times in a row ( ok Brian, that might be underestimating it), it was getting on my nerves. I caught a couple today ...while Brian watched...and kinda felt like that was a thundering rim shaking in your face slam dunk over him....lol But that was like Memphis over Lakers...can you do it again...

But the real point is, if I was catching fish on pink and purple polka dots 3 feet deep, I would inform others around me so they can catch fish also.
