Hey Guys,
I live near downtown and there seems to be good areas to paddle the Trinity. Has anyone done that and can you tell me your experiences? I'm going to try and find a good stretch to paddle and take a small spincast.

Which downtown? There are plenty of areas around downtown FW that are great for this, even the Panther Island area. Pretty much anywhere you can put in is probably a good spot.

I was around the university area near hoffbraus and woodshed smokehouse a few days ago. Didn't catch a thing, friend caught a small bass but not much was biting.

I'm an idiot. I just read your screen name and see that it includes Dallas, which is a pretty good clue to the answer to my question. I don't have any information for you on the Trinity in Dallas, but try the search function on this forum.
