Found this discontinued lure from Cotton Cordell at Ann's Tackle in Jasper, Tx. She bought all from a wholesaler who went out of business. It's called the Near Nuthin and is really interesting. It is a solid clear plastic body with a weight molded in. The wire for the hooks is green. I have never fished one, but it looks killer for schooling fish. You can cast it a mile, it sinks, but can be worked like a spoon through a school, or let it sink. Should be an awesome bait on Amistad. Anyway, has anyone ever fished this?

Yes I still have a couple around somewhere. Good for schooling bass. Those came out many years ago.

I have about 10. Use em exclusively for schoolers. Casts further than almost any bait in my boat.
Started using them about 20 years ago based on recommendation from Miss Ann. Never doubt her advice.
I replace the back hook with owner feather treble.

I have two left and wish I could get more. Others are right, they are awesome on schooling fish and you can cast them using even 20# line.

I think I 2 left somewhere. Great bait for schoolers, can be worked quickly through a school of fish. Used it on T-Bend in the 70's!

Schooling largemouth and sandies, this will get them every time. Even better with the white trailer jig like Rudy says. I only have a couple left so I am reluctant to use them.
Slide right, coming in .... Fish On!

It's a shame they discontinued these. I love to chase schoolers. Thats been my main pattern on a couple lakes this summer. This would be a great bait.

Caught a bunch of fish on one. Cast it into the schooling fish and work it fast on top. Reel & jerk at the same time.

It was one of my most effective baits as a kid in any clear water situations. Can be fished many different ways. Lost the only one I had ~20 years ago.

You can find new and pre-owned Near Nuthins on the net. A quick search turned up a new one still in pack for $11.99 and a pre-owned one for $3.25
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

They were only $4.99 at Ann's, probably should have bought more than 2....
