Hey guys! So Ive posted here for several years, and always trusted this site. I've met people fishing, exchanged handles, guides/friends that Ive fished with. Anyway, my dad has a boat that he purchased as a "father son" investment. Its a 2001 aluminum skeeter with a 115 Yamaha. He is running into some serious issues regarding living/health situations. He is getting older, and not capable of the "bachelor" style of life he has been accustomed to. We have decided to sell the boat in hopes of raising funds for this new chapter in his life. Also, I figure paying a guide to fish 5-10 times a year is more to our liking
My problem: The guy who owned the boat prior to us made a rats nest mess of the electronics. We bought the boat from a dealer in lewisville used. I don't think it was a bad deal, but I do think my dad got to excited at the thought of fishing, to do a good job checking out the inside of the boat. The boat has a GPS fish finder, but its a "home install" job at best. There are sensors in the gas well area that are loose and rattling around. The trolling motor goes in and out of working. I think someone with excellent knowledge of bass boat electronics could look at it and make sense, but I can't. I would normally just resort to a boat shop, but that can tend to get expensive.
What I am looking for is someone who can make this boat good to sell. I plan to pay someone for this, (not looking for a freebie) just to clarify.
If your interested or think you could help, shoot me a message. Im still not sure the best way of going about this, but I will probably need a reference or two.
Thanks guys!
