Thinking about taking the family to EM this week for a quick recreation day before school starts. Can anyone please give me a recommendation as to which ramp would be best to use (20 ft deck boat)? I have only been to Lakeview Marina and the last time I was there that ramp was very difficult. Thanks!

Good luck. I have tried seveal times to go there at different times of day only to find the Twin Points ramp closed. Last Saturday, I went at 9:30, only to find out that some set of freakin GENIUSES scheduled TWO fishing tournaments at the same time. The information I received is that the first weigh in would occur around 4pm, then some the ramp would open up as people left. I got there another time and was told I lucked out, I was the last person getting in and sure enough, there was one parking space available. Unfortunately, the only other public ramp that I know of that is open is at Lakeview marina up north, but I haven't tried it. There is also a place or two in Azle on the west side of the lake, but you can't get in at the big park right now. Oh, just accross the spillway, you can pay $15 or $20 to go over the spillway to the big marina just west of Twn Points, but be advised, there is a sandbar across the waterway that is difficult to navigate. If you are in a fishing boat or pontoon that has a shallow draft you will probably be okay. I have a runabout with an i/o and had difficulties when I launched there.

When we got to the ramp @ 5:30am it was already full of travel trailers and some of those loud, only good for burning gas and making wakes, boats. There were also 40-45 boats for the KOC but our weigh in was at 11 and most of us were gone by 12:00

Guys, also remember that last weekend was the "Tie-up" That's probably the main reason it was busy and full, not a 44 boat tournament..

I fish at night a lot on EM now, and every time I go to Twin Points the lot is already /4 full with trucks and boats sitting on the trailer. no one is there, they are just getting a parking space and leaving the hole setup over night.

I gave up on Eagle Mountain years ago. Used to be a great lake. Fishing was always good. Duck hunting was fun. Now even if the fish are biting the idiots in the wake boats make it no fun fishing main lake points. The drought and the Fort Worth Water Dept have kept the lake so low the best duck hunting areas are dry and when they had water there are so many hunters competing for space the hunting stinks. Bottom line is too many people for the resource available. Tarrant Regional has done a poor job of providing access but in reality the lake is a water source, not a recreational source.

Sounds like BRA on Lake Granbury.

I fished around Lakeview this morning and the ramp was blocked by a golf cart. Apparently level may be too low now? Anyone know the story?
